Enda O’ Reilly
Having developed an early love for music, Enda attended Mater Dei Institute of Education, Dublin City University (DCU), where he received a first class honours degree with a major in music performance. In 2013, Enda completed a Masters in Education with a major in Digital Pedagogy and Mentoring and Leadership.
Teaching experience:
Enda has previously taught in Belgrove Senior Girls School, Clontarf, Dublin 3. (2010). Alexandra College, Miltown, Dublin 6. (2011),Tallaght Community School, Balrothery Estate, Tallaght, Dublin 24. (2012).
2010 – 2015:
Enda was a music teacher in the long established and reputable An Lochrann Linn Band, Carrickmacross. Enda taught a variety of instruments such as guitar and the brass and reed ensemble. In 2012, he conducted the entire brass and reed group at the awards ceremony of the Community Games in Athlone. In April 2013, Enda was elected to be secretary of the An Lochrann Linn Band by the band committee.
March 2013: While Enda has played numerous live concerts, most notably was a performance recital at a concert by Eurovision winner, and voice of Ireland, Eimear Quinn which took place in Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan.
September 2013 – June 2014
Enda was employed in Loreto College Cavan, His duties included teaching music, religious education and speech and drama classes. During his time in Loreto College, Enda conducted the school choir, set up a number of lunch time music groups and organised nativity plays and music for the end of year nights.
August 2014 – present:
Enda is currently employed as the Assistant coordinator of Longford Youthreach. This is a management position within the education centre and the position is split between direct class contact and management responsibilities.
Carrickmacross School of Music now has a number of highly qualified music teachers in a variety of instruments.
